In everyday life there are days when I look in the mirror and think, “Hey, I’m pretty cute today,” and I really do try to take good care of my appearance, so I never thought my confidence was especially low.But someone told me, “If you truly had confidence, you’d just say what you feel without worrying about the consequences. Because you don’t, you over‑think the other person—and that keeps relationships that should go well from actually going well.” When I heard that, I realized they might be right.I often mention in my videos that I slide into negativity easily. At night, or whenever something goes wrong, I start thinking, “Maybe it’s because I’m no good,” and obsess over what I did wrong. I’m the type who over‑analyzes everything. That tendency probably seeps into my love life too.Self‑esteem is crucial—though I’m not great at putting it into words. Mine is probably pretty low. When it comes to beauty and that sort of thing, I believe I’m highly conscious, but the moment another person is involved—say a friend and I hit a rough patch—I can’t tell them exactly what I really think. I soften my words behind a guard, and the message never truly reaches them.And that, I realized, is precisely the problem.
